Dear Dr. Droegemeier,

The Task Force on American Innovation (TFAI) – an alliance of industry, scientific and engineering societies, and university organizations – warmly congratulates you on your confirmation as Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). We offer our support to you and applaud the confirmation of a scientist with your commitment, credentials, and experience as OSTP Director.

TFAI advocates for strong federal funding for science and engineering research, which fuels our nation’s economic prosperity, supports the development of America’s workforce, spurs U.S. job growth in new and emerging industries and strengthens our national security. TFAI members recognize and value that robust support for federal scientific and engineering research agencies is crucial for our nation to remain a global leader in science, technology and innovation.

The Task Force would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss our shared goals. For scheduling, or if you have any questions or comments, please contact Brookley Valencia at brookley@corleypipes.com. We look forward to meeting you and to working with you to advance our common interests.

Sincerely,
Task Force on American Innovation
