The Task Force on American Innovation (TFAI) – an alliance of industry, scientific societies, and university organizations – issued the following statement on the nomination for Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy:

TFAI strongly urges Senate leadership to move forward the nomination of Dr. Kelvin Droegemeier for Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). Dr. Droegemeier has overwhelming support from the science community and received bipartisan praise from the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, which voted unanimously to advance his nomination on September 5, 2018. TFAI firmly supports the nomination of Dr. Droegemeier and respectfully urges Senate leadership to bring his nomination to the full Senate before the end of the 115th Congress.
